Create a hosts file in $hostsfile. It should look like:

Try:

$conman run --detach --name dnsmasq --restart always \
    --mount type=bind,src=$hostsfile,target=/etc/dnsmasq-hosts,readonly \
    registry.intra.dominic-ricottone.com/dnsmasq:latest
